WP Companion’s Scotiabank Payment Gateway Plugin – Pricing Update Effective May 1st, 2026

Since the launch of WP Companion, our goal has been simple: give Caribbean merchants the easiest, most reliable way to accept payments on their WooCommerce stores. That mission hasn’t changed, but our initial plugin (Scotiabank Payment Gateway For WooCommerce) has grown significantly, and our pricing is being updated to reflect that.

What’s changing

Effective May 1st, 2026:

• Professional plan: $149/year → $199/year
• Lifetime plan: $499 → $599
• Free plan: No change — sandbox testing remains free for everyone

What isn’t changing

If you’re an existing subscriber, your price stays the same. Active subscriptions will continue renewing at the rate you originally purchased. This change only applies to new customers.

Why now

When we first launched the plugin, it handled one thing: connecting your WooCommerce store to Scotiabank’s eCom+ gateway. Since then, we’ve shipped a lot:

• Pre-authorization with full and partial capture — authorize a card at checkout and capture the full or partial amount later
• Admin refunds — process refunds directly from your WooCommerce dashboard via Scotia’s API, no need to log into Scotia Merchant Admin
• Void support — cancel pre-authorized transactions from WooCommerce via Scotia’s API
• Multi-currency support — accept both USD and local currency
• Embedded checkout — customers never leave your site during payment
• Duplicate transaction protection — guards against double charges from page refreshes or retries
• WooCommerce Block Checkout compatibility
• High Performance Order Storage compatibility

All of this is powered using a combination of Scotia’s Hosted Payment Page and a direct connection to their API. Our plugin has no middlemen, no transaction fees, and funds in your bank account by the next business day.

At $199/year with zero transaction fees, WP Companion remains the most cost-effective Scotiabank payment solution for any merchant processing more than $6,500 in annual online sales. Our nearest competitor charges $69/year plus a 2% fee on every transaction – which means a store doing just $10,000/year in sales pays $269 with them, versus $199 with us.
